The most challenging person to teach is the person closest to you---- my mum. Its always easier to teach a group of un-related people than one loved ones.
When i first started, i tried to teach my mum, but later decided to give both us of a break. Now, she made a small request to start class again, targeting to reduced the size of her waist line.
Every monday morning, we rolled out the mat in the living room, and get started!
We communicate in mandarin instructions, sometimes i feel that its so much easier if i just demostrate and she follows. Slowly, i try to have her listen to the instrusction so i can do adjustments on her.
I manage the part that i need to be a little more firmer to keep the session going effectively. But of course, she's still my ma-ma, i'll still be nice:)
I like it. This is probably one of the precious way of bonding with my mum. As i've always been taking classes outside and too busy to take my time off to talk to her. A chance to teach her, is surely a good opportunity to increase mum and daughter partnership work.
As much as i want to other clients to be healthy and happy, i want my mum to be healthy and happy with herself too!
